Erin, I agree with the others that it is very well set out and that it is easy to navigate. :)

I will also agree that the Coat of many pockets is a good book though I haven't used it that much yet.

Personally you have reminded me of certain things that I will need to put into my writing, since I am doing the same focus topic though also learning styles, so I shall probably end up referencing your website at some stage. (If I don't then poke me with a medium sharp stick)

Nor for me to actually finish writing mine up

Well done Erin :)

Yay for referring to my blog! I can give you the actual date I wrote that report also, if you so desire...

I like the simple layout you've used, the format is easy to follow and your ideas are very well presented. I'd agree with having a look through 'Coat of Many Pockets', I used it briefly for my EET project and will be comming back to it when I get around to finishing my EXE.

The depth of thought on this topic is also evident in how you have written. I agree with you that there is a lot of information out there on the topic, it all becomes a matter of practice, and finding what works.

Keep it up!

Steve,

I'm glad to have helped with the confidence factor! I can't wait to see your website. Thank you for the feedback - its nice to hear the website works and looks good (I'm biased!!), and I appreciate the suggestions to improve the best practice section.

Thanks,
Erin

Hi Erin,

I think the website you have created is just fantastic! I had no trouble navigating around it. I have been toying with the idea of making my assignment into a website for ages but seeing yours gave me the confidence to do it. I should have it finished soon.

I did behaviour management as my first assignment, and I have one suggestion to make regarding your "best practice." I think it is important to include building strong relationships with students and planning interesting lessons so that they are less likely to misbehave.

Also I would recommend reading 'a coat of many pockets.' It details how to get students to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
